Thinking About Historical Thinking

The three questions that I hope to ask and then answer fully as the semester continues are:

1. What you already know about this particular part in history?
   This question will be answered by my audience.
2. What are you excited to learn more about? Anything that I can do to help you with that?
   This question will be answered by my audience. I still hope to gain some insight and various opinions as to what I can do to help.
3. What are some of the ways that best help you learn new material?
   This question will help me understand how I could frame some of my content and/or questions to help my audience learn more.

Module 3: The History of History Teaching: Respond to History Curriculum in 2023

Postscript:
I believe that the ideas explained in Dr. Mills Kelly’s The History Curriculum in 2023 is what has evolved into in the past century. The history of teaching history has evolved from students listening passively to lectures to students actively participating in some form with the historical content. Dr. Kelly argues basically for more collaboration within academic disciplines to try to help students learn more. Without excitement in learning then it becomes difficult for students to want to learn history. As technology increases and becomes more prominent in our everyday lives, historians can not be complacent in adapting to the changing times. The history curriculum will become outdated and useless to those that study it if it is not updated and improve to suit those with various interests.
